Director of Teaching and Learning

Technical and Applied Sciences (TAS) Teacher - Senior School
Teachers at Trinity Anglican College are responsible for delivering high-quality programs, ensuring engaging content, and maintaining continuity of learning to achieve strong student outcomes.
All academic staff are appointed by, and act under the direction of, the Principal. As members of the College’s academic team, teachers are committed to Trinity’s educational mission and report to the Head of Department and senior staff regarding specific programs and the learning needs of students at each level.
The successful applicant will:
- Teach Mandatory Technology and Stage 5 Timber and/or iSTEM
- Ideally also teach Stage 6 Design and Technology and/or Engineering (highly desirable)
Key Responsibilities
- Teach TAS curriculum, including Mandatory Technology and Stage 5 Timber and/or iSTEM.
- Plan and deliver coherent, well-sequenced teaching and learning programs that engage students and maximise achievement.

Science Teacher - Senior School
The Science Teacher at Trinity Anglican College is a dedicated and capable educator who can teach across Years 7–10 Science and Stage 6 Science courses. Junior School Teacher - Lower and Upper Primary 2026
The role of classroom teacher at Trinity Anglican College is a highly valued and rewarding position. Teachers in all year levels will work on growing the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional well-being of our greatest asset, our students.
Classroom teachers in lower (Kinder - Year 2) will help students transition into Early Years learning and upper (Year 5-6) primary classroom teachers help students transition into a more independent and student-focused learning environment. There remains a strong focus on skill-focused, explicit, direct instruction pedagogies, that are supported by scaffolded investigative learning opportunities.
Contributing to the ongoing development of teaching instruction by being involved in a shared learning culture of using research and evidence-based best practice pedagogies to inform growth in practice, is a rewarding part of a teacher’s journey at Trinity.
The role of classroom teacher will see you deliver lessons across all NESA Key Learning Areas of English, Mathematics, Science and HSIE. There are also opportunities for teachers to deliver lessons in other domains, including STEM, PDHPE, Visual Art, Music, and Religious and Values Education.
Teachers will work closely as a year level team, however, also forming part of the Stage Team. This team collaborates with colleagues across their stage as well as our specialist teachers for PDHPE, Visual Art, Music, STEM and RAVE.

Casual Replacement Teacher (CRT)
The role
A Casual Replacement Teacher (CRT) will have similar responsibilities to a Teacher. They will have the qualifications and experience to deliver curriculum material provided for a class, facilitate a positive learning environment and will provide a duty of care to students in the absence of the regular Teacher. CRTs are engaged throughout the year on a casual basis to cover teacher absences. The length of engagement may range from half a day through to periods up to 6 weeks, depending on the absence to be covered.
Responsibilities and duties
The key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Ability to deliver curriculum material to students, as provided by the absent Teacher
- Provide a duty of care for students whilst the regular Teacher is absent
- Create a learning environment that fosters a love of learning, encouraging each student to engage in the learning process
- Ensure standards in learning and behaviour are maintained by students both inside and outside the classroom
- Demonstrate the ability to work within and contribute effectively to a team
- Support the College’s mission, vision and values
- Undertake yard duty and other supervision duties as required
Qualifications
- Relevant Teaching Qualification
- Registration with NESA
- First Aid Certificate
